Small Hole Gages

Fowler's Small Hole Gages offer those in the metalworking industry a tool for gaging deep and shallow holes, slots, etc. that are difficult to measure.

• Knurled knob at the end of handle is used for size adjustment.
• Hole size is obtained by measuring over the contact points with a micrometer.
• The gaging surface is full-round with a flat bottom. This permits use in the smallest of shallow holes, slots and grooves, etc.
• Gaging surface is fully hardened to ensure long tool life.
• Extra long for gaging deep and shallow holes, slots and similar work.
• The complete set of four gages covers a range of .125" - .500"

Telescoping Gages

Another Fowler Tool for easy and accurate measurements. Under spring tension, the plungers of the gage expand from the center to the size of the hole being measured and are then locked in place by a knurled knob. Final hole size is obtained by measuring over the contacts with a micrometer or vernier caliper.

• Double action (self-centering) for quick checking of inside measurements.

"Holmikes"

The Holmike, a direct reading internal micrometer, measures bores and bottoms on blind holes. Sizes over .250" (6mm) feature three measuring contact anvils which are self-centering for true readings. Sizes under .250" (6mm) use a 2-point "Split-cylinder" design. Holmikes over 1" use two sets of anvils so that only six sets are necessary to cover the range from .080" - 4". All micrometer anvils over 1/2" (12.5mm) are tungsten carbide.

• Sizes 1/2" (12.5mm) and up have blind bore capability.
• Ratchet stop provides constant pressure and repetitive readings.
• Microfine graduations on satin chrome finished thimble are easy to read.
• Sizes under .250" (6mm) have .0001" (.001mm) resolution.
• Sizes over .250" (6mm) have .00025" (.005mm) resolution
• Holmike range is .040 - 12.0" (1-300mm).
• Holmikes 1" (25mm) and up furnished with 2 sets of anvils; each set covers one-half the range. No resetting is required when changing the anvils.
• Supplied with hardened and ground ring gages (Class X or XX specifications).
• Holmikes over .250" (6mm) measure to a depth of at least 2.36" (60mm).
• Extensions are available for sizes over .250" (6mm).
